Hi Kevin,

Mine is a Canton 15-820. Pipe fittings are measured based on the inside diameter of a pipe. You can do a Google search on NPT (National Pipe Threads) and find lots of information. However, as a simple rule of thumb, if you measure the thread diameter of a male pipe fitting and subtract 1/4", you'll have the fitting size (pipe walls are nominally about 1/8"). So, for example, the ERA fitting is 5/8" diameter, so it is a 3/8" fitting. The plug in the oil pan is 13/16 diameter (or nominally 3/4 - a bit of rounding is sometimes required), so that is a 1/2" fitting. So, I'll need a 3/8 to 1/2" adapter.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Kevin
