Rick: thanks for the input, it seems we think alike ! 1247's won't work because my ports are too big: 2.4 x 1.5, because my manifold was on a 428 at one time. I port matched my heads to match the manifold. However 1246S-3's (428) gaskets might do the job since their ports are 2.3 x1.34 and should have enough material to trim before hitting the printoseal, plus the "S" versions have a metal center to prevent distortion. They are .065" thick and I'm going to try to glue them together and see how that will work. Had to order them, will be a week before I get them.
