Default DIY Bonded Studs

One of the BEST publications out there is "Kitplanes". There articles relate to so much info for the kit car builders, I have always used it as a source. In their August publication, they did an article on bonding studs. In many cases it is not desireable to drill holes, an example would be a fuel tank. In the article, they recomend using a product E6000 adhesive from Eclectric Products. eclectricproducts.com The next product is the stud which comes in various sizes and in stainless. The studs have holes pre-drilled all around them, which lets the adhesive through, giving a really strong bond. These units look ideal for attaching adel clips for wires and fuel lines where you don't want to use a self tapping screw, which I have never favored myself. I have used neither, but Kitplanes is a good source of information a lot of builders over look. Studs---mcmaster.com/#perforated-base-studs/=nh.
