The Superformance Cobra Chassis Number exists in one of these four formats:
1.) COB** or COB** - *** 5 or 8 character form: Used on cars up to 031
2.) AC9CSLK1000AM1*** 17 character form: Used on cars 032 through 577 and on cars 579, 580, 582, 583, 584, 586.
The 5th digit character is "S" for side pipes or "R" for rear exhaust - The 6th character is "L" for left hand drive or "R" for right hand drive
3.) SP*** 5 character form: Used on cars 578, 581, 585, 587, 588, 589, 590.
4.) SP0**** 7 character form: Used on cars 591 on.
