The shifter mechanism is the same regarless of application, the mounting plate allowed for the location of the shift lever itself. Usually the lever came directly out of the mechanism and if required had a bend in it to move it to the left closer to the driver. The shift rods can be replicated or purchased. Here is an example of an OEM Ford shift mechanism on a T-10.
