I've never understood the need of an
oil cooler in a street driven Cobra. I despise them, as well as remote filter adapters. I understand that in some Cobras, such as the SPF cars, the filter adapter is almost necessary due to room constraints. However, on others, the excuse that it makes it easier to change the
oil isn't worth the extra expense and trouble.
I would not tolerate any pressure drop, especially at just 4000 rpm.
I would also not tolerate a Royal Purple
oil filter. Keep the Motorcraft, or better yet, a Wix Racing filter.
