had another little problem on the weekend, after testing the new fuel pump,no carb yet i found things improved a fair bit, but after the run i found my push in oil filler cap had disapeared, only a little bit of oil on the bonnet,
So went down to supercrap and bought a fill in cap non vented for the time being, went for the next run and now found the sump gasket has started to leak, so i checked the engine at idle and there is plenty of suction from the pcv valve, so just wonder why the original cap would of ever popped out,
just wondering if you back off after heavy acceleration if the pressure may revert the other way and popped out the original cap?
