Back in the 60's & 70's numerous articles and tests were performed showing the horse power increases of 10-25 hp on various motors (Mopar, GM, Ford) with a nominal cost of $10-$25 depending on application. This translated into the best dollar/horse power option at the time. I still feel at today's prices the windage tray is possibly the best. I first installed one on a RoadRunner in 1970 and could feel the difference. I had other cars which came with the tray but this was the first additional tray. Since that time I have installed windage on all my motors when the application is available. I had a 289 HiPo in a 34 Sedan Delivery and you could really hear the oil splashing arround until I installed a tray and increased horse power. I am a believer!
