Usually when you buy your first watch you don't buy a Rolex. Usually I am sure exceptions exist.

As far as a SPF for 40K I will buy every single one please forward info ASAP!!!! I saw a BDR go at mecum last year for 62K. It was a solid 6 out of 10 with obvious wear and tear. At best i thought it was a 40K car. A car is worth what it sells for.

Superformance cars in my opinion are rock solid, i never found one with panels rubs, vibrations, noises etc. I have found many in poor shape but that was the owners doing not SPF. Even at 40K its a no brainer buy if it rolls down the street. as seen above new rollers are going mid 50's, you can do a lot of restoration for $10K!!! on a Cobra with an excellent foundation.

I have seen one Kirkham, My wife thought it was not flashy and it wash compared to my SPF at the time. No big deal she never rides in my Cobras anyway. I buy a kirkham for the craftsman's ship of the body, the suspension components and design, the appreciation of true craftsman and I like the way cobra look.

As far as attention you can drive a no name Cobra kit car with horrible paint and people will walk up to you. My buddy has one, just don't get in front of it as the brakes suk!!!

I also go back to spf because that is what I know the best, I ***** and complain blah blah blah but in the end its my favorite and as stated above I driven my share.

oh and let not forget spf is about as close to the original as you can get. 90" wheel base, smith gauges ( i love to hate and make fun of) and like it or not if it was bought stolen it is licensed by shelby. at least he saw the car, drove the car, and probably tooted in it.
Purchased my Superformance in 2010 for 31K. Perfect working condition, except a cracked windshield. Without doubt, best toy I've ever owned AND an investment with decent returns.
