My visit to Legendary Motorcar: Cobras and GT40s (Mar 2014)
I just arrived home from a quick business trip to the Toronto area, and had time to pop in at Legendary Motorcar yesterday after my meetings.
As always the showroom was packed with drool-worthy cars including four original Cobras and two continuation-series Cobras. I had already seen two of them on my previous visits, but the other four were new sightings to me.
CSX2570
was the 1965 New York International Auto Show display car.
CSX3189
was a 427 street roadster which has been converted to include some S/C features.
The car had an unusual cover over the batteries with a battery cut-off switch on top. I've never seen this kind of setup before.
CSX3235
has been at LMC for a long time now. It's thought to be the "splash car" for the Hurricane Motorsports replicas.
CSX3136
has also been there for a long time. It's a gorgeous narrow-hip roadster.
CSX4231
CSX7048
GT40 P/1058
is a 1966 MkI road car owned by Peter Klutt, who is the owner of LMC.
Peter's original GT40 was accompanied by four 2006 Ford GTs including a Heritage Edition and a Tungsten Edition.
Paintings by Camilo Pardo, designer of the 2005-06 Ford GT.
