Default Replacement coil springs for the Mustang II front end

Hi Guys,

Everett Morrison's directions for modifying the front coil springs from a Mustang II front end were to cut several of the coils off and use the spring. Unfortunately, this leaves the end portion of the remaining spring that I am to use not being able to sit properly on the lower control arm. It looks like it could just pop out of the spring perch on the lower control arm.

Is there an aftermarket spring manufacturer that makes a replacement spring with the correct geometry for the Mustang II front end that would mate better with the factory control arms and would be the correct length for my Cobra?

EM's directions were to cut a certain amount of coils off depending on the engine size and the ride height you wanted. Seems a little ancient to me.
