Well, I have just returned home with my wife following her colonoscopy to find this thread on Club Cobra. My first thought was, at least the guy who decided to stick something up her backside this morning had a reason to do so. David, having read and re-read your comments, I remain baffled as to how you were somehow "screwed by Ned Scudder." I have never heard anything from you previously, and there is nothing in the 3301 file from you, as there is from other owners, including Dr. Shetty, who sold you the car. The 2008 registry explains that you bought 3301 from Shetty, had it restored and repainted white with blue stripes at HRE, listed its odometer reading, and discussed the car's being entered into a few auctions, at one of which it was sold. Did you want more detail? Did you want your name in capital letters? What, exactly, was incorrect in what the registry printed? Nothing that I can observe, unless you are pissed off that I didn't add more detail. But that's incredibly tough to do when the owner of the car doesn't share that information. I guess those of us who serve the hobby as registrars should somehow develop better powers of mental telepathy, because apparently we are expected to possess strong credentials in that area. I apologize to you that mine are still in training. And, in the interest of being factual, when you state that 3301 was "pulled off the production line by FAV" to be given a variety of competition options, you are incorrect. The photos I have of the car in Paris with its first owner show the car to have been sold as a pure street car, with sunburst wheels and no roll bar. They were added after 3301 arrived in the USA in the late 70's.
