I can't help on the SB100, but the Ford 302 is actually 4.9x liters. So technically speaking, that is correct.

It is certainly NOT just Backdraft cars, though backdraft might have had the first coyote transplant (exception of possibly the FFR). They are installing the 5.0 coyote because it's a reliable engine that makes great power. It's fuel injected, smooth to drive, and just different.

Downside is that it lacks low end power (lower rear gears if you want that feel), it doesn't look like a carbed old school engine, and IMO, the resale might suffer a little in terms of how long it takes to sell do to less desirability and more potential owners wanting the old school feeling and look.
