Track Key does not void the warranty. I think it shortens it though.

The major performance difference between the standard Boss and the LS are the R compound tires on the LS.

If you are buying for "collectibility" they made fewer LS's. Your not going to track an LS bought for collectibility.

If you are buying to enjoy and track the standard Boss is the better buy.

Put Koni Yellows, Steeda Boss Sport Comp springs, and Michelin Pilot R compound shoes, frpp brake duct kit, Triax shifter and bushing on a standard Boss and you are now far ahead of the LS performance wise for approximately $2500.00 and you can still put the kids in the back seat.

They are sill VERY capable track cars stock. A standard Boss turned faster lap times than the M3 and Audi R8 at Laguna Seca. Not bad for a stick axle car and still has performance specs pretty much equal to the new Z28 comparing Specs from Car & Driver. In fact, I read that The Boss ran a 7:38:35 at the Ring recently with Berget Kinser ( yes, thats right, a girl) drivivg. That's less than 1 second off the new Z28 's time with all its 550hp, cc brakes, super nanny suspension & IRS, 305 R compound tires square. That's impressive by any standard.
