Long story guys that started with my wide band 02 sensor. Man I want to tell this story but just don't have the time to write it now. In summary went through three pumps, all claimed a max of 6.5 lbs. When I installed them and checked the pressure they were 8 lbs. I learned always check the manufacturers website to confirm the max pressure no matter what the retailer advertises. I found one brand that has a consistent problem with the pressure being 1.5 lbs. more that their specs say. I have been on the phone with their tech support and they are concerned. Seems to be a production problem.
So, I installed an new quick fuel carb last night and they set the floats up with 6.5 lbs. and run it on an engine before shipping. I put on another new fuel pump that said 6.5 max pressure and checked it when started with two gauges. It was 8 lbs. Float level was way high. Seems the only solution is to put on a regulator.
