I'm sure many would not agree with me but being that the majority of us have replicas I would not have an issue with a GM engine. Just how many have replicas with Ford manufactured engine and no aftermarket components? Look at my engine for instance. Other than dimensionally the only part on my engine that is produced by Ford is the thermostat housing. Dart block, eagle rotating assembly, diamond pistons, Brodix heads, msd ignition, edelbrock intake, etc. It is also a small block in lieu of a big block. If replica manufacturers offered mounts, headers, etc. for alternate engines such as GM, I wonder how many non-Ford Cobra Replicas would exist. That being said I would love to see some GM powered Cobra Replicas!! Bring it!!
