Is it adjustable and what diameter is it? I assume you have original underslung bar? Did your rear lower arms come with a hook up or did you have to add it?
Hi Nic,
My rear bar is a high mounted design that I fabricated to improve the linkage geometry, the bottom link attaches rearward and outboard of the lower shock mount. I have a set of bars I made up in .5, .562, .750 and 1.00 the 1 inch and .75 bars are hollow with a .125 wall. They all have the same pattern on the ends so that I can bolt a common arm on any of the bars ( lots easier to install) The arm is adjustable from 11" down to about 8.5" so it has quite a range of adjustment. I have run with and without bars adjusting with spring rates so balance is correct, hard to say which is better. The car is traction challenged with these tires so I am going way down on spring rate and up on bar rate to try and reduce wheel spin. This would not work with a Torsen diff but the Salisbury does just fine even with the inside wheel in the air. My experience on road courses was that a .625 rear bar was the biggest that the car worked well with and I used it as fine tuning adjustment with spring changes for major adjustments.
We are trying to get this monster around a tiny parking lot autox so are trying some unconventional approaches. I hope that video will run, I never seem to be able to upload and get the video public and working. I'll check and see why it won't run for you, it shows some pretty fierce acceleration
when you consider the tires we are on.
