Both engines can make power, for dragging it comes to how much you want to spend and how much you want a drag car vs street car, etc. What makes a good drag car doesn't necessarily translate to a good cobra (handling). Also driver as mentioned is HUGE on a car that is as challenging as the cobra, especially manual transmission cars. Street racing is dumb in my opinion, better off in a controlled environment with some safety folks on hand if needed, and no innocent bystanders.
