I bo not like to insult anyone's car, however I will say this. I built my first 350 Chevy at the age of 17, and dropped it in a 69 Malibu. Had enough power to lift the front wheels, and run low 13 sec in a quarter mile, with street tires. When I go to a car show 90% of T buckets, 32 Fords, anb other hot rods have small block Chevy's in them. From my perspective anyone can do that. They get no points for doing anything special. But if otherwise well done I may appreciate the car.
Any amount of power can be made from any engine, within reason. It is all in the skill of the builder.

I wouldn't even waste my time these days with a SBC or a BBC. Get an LS engine, do a little building, and you have 700 hp without a problem. Add a supercharger or turbos and you can easily hit 1100 hp on a street car that can be driven daily.
