I have PS in mine with a big block, and think it's the way to go. Original installation by West Coast is with a Saginaw pump and a Mustang II steering rack. Some have reported it to be a bit over-sensitive due, it seems, to a 3 GPM pump hooked to a 2 GPM rack.

There are solutions to this, but I mention it here to reinforce the idea the pump and rack need to work as a system so, if you're planning on installing PS, make sure they're designed to work together or, alternatively, put the limiting valve in to make them play nice together.
