the best thing I did was get rid of my cheap Chinese ebay mig and buy a lincon 180 c my welds straight off were a lot better .ive been arc welding for yrs my old man was a boiler maker and I could weld pretty good by the time I was 12 with the stick but we never had a mig at home till I bought my own .
my engine builder has a tig and I had a go welding some alloy a couple of weeks ago while it stuck it didn't look pretty and I would def like to learn to use it better .like the others have said just grab some scrap and practice don't get ya mrs to watch the power meter spin while ya welding tho :-)
