No Slip...

Occasionally (1 in 50 normal starts) I get a little "shudder" when releasing the clutch from a stop in first. As close as I can tell it only happens when it is extremely hot outside and I have been driving the car for at least an hour. Never repeats during the drive. And it happens when I do a gradual start versus a hard acceleration.

Any thoughts on what causes this and if it is an indication to replace the clutch and associated parts?

BTW, the car has 5,500 miles on it and this has happened since I bought it with 2,000 miles. Neither the original owner nor I do hard launches.

Thanks!

Jeff
