ball joint boot
Speaking of the ball joints, you can see that the ball joint boot doesn't really have anything to seat onto. The large end of the boot will open up when the suspension is in compression. I assume this is why there is a tie wrap in the pic from bktlist.
You may want to secure that boot to the ball joint plate. You can use a piece of stainless safety wire around the boot flange, twisted at both ends. Bend the ends upward onto the arms and twist it again. Worked well for me. I'll try to take a pic so you can see what I mean.
