Sit in your dark garage and press the pedal. You'd be surprised what it takes to make the lights turn on. Mine's been getting worse (~6500 miles) and now it only comes on when I press really hard and then let up a tiny bit. There could be an air bubble in the switch but it's behavior is changing, so I kind of doubt it. I think it's just aging.
There's low pressure options but I'm just looking for folks who have been there.
