You can connect the positive side of the charger to any point on the positive battery cable. Just make sure it is the cable from the battery and not the one from the solenoid to the starter.

You can connect to ground anywhere on the cars chassis or the engine block itself if the neg term is inaccessable.

Keep in mind that your battery terminal connections must be clean and tight.
