I used some sheet aluminum to make mounts for my bullet side mirrors, mounting them under the wind wing mounts. I had some longer 5 mm stainless steel screws from my cycling tool kit, and they worked perfectly - though they clearly don't match the other fasteners.

Once I did that I found the mirrors interfered with the wind wings which, in turn, interfered with the top of the doors. <sigh> That, of course, meant I had to fabricate some spacers to move the mirrors out and allow the wind wings to open further.

The driver side mirror has 2 spacers - one 1/2" thick and the other 3/16". The passenger side mirror only has a 1/2" spacer.
