We've had a lift for many years, and its been a real asset that I recommend.
Two months ago I looked at the garage floor that was 27 years old and stained with brake fluid,
oil, grease, paint drippings, etc. I decided it was time to cover the mess. Given time and projects, over the years the walls had gotten shabby-looking and a myriad of stuff was all over the place.
It was time to make some changes.
For a number of reasons I opted to install a Racedeck snap-together floor. My wife and I discussed the project and she said the garage was overall a bit 'homey' looking and should be rehabbed. Then the project kind of went ballistic.
First was patching and painting. Just so happened Home Depot had a metal cabinets assembly on sale at the time I was planning the renewal. Then I decided to add surface-mounted T-8 troffer lighting. Then a new vanity, ceiling fan, and my mother-in-law's unused TV was rescued from storage. About 5 weeks later we have a nice, clean garage. The wife and I have 'happy hour' in it several times a week!
