What's the point of building one with a V8 engine if you cant stretch it's legs every now and then in a legal, controlled and relatively safe environment.
The "Racing" we do is against the clock and not rubbing door handles as you cut through the inside and then shutting the door on him in the next corner. It's a sprint event, you go as fast as you feel comfortable.
I've only seen a couple of incidents when a car has been seriously damaged at the track. Most people just blow up engines or break gearboxes and diffs.
