SCOF would be your best source of info on issues with various car number ranges. Keep in mind there are issues that occurred with later numbers only. My car, 522, had damage to the rear shock mounts (replaced) and a torn diff mount ( replaced with new crossmember). These are known issues with my car number. I also upgraded half shafts, which were stronger in newer car numbers.
