It's unlikely the shifter location will look right with that tailhousing in any 289 Cobra chassis. Consider using one of the following for your build.

Tailhousing ID Chart


#1 C4AR-7A040 A 1964-67 Galaxie 289, 390, 17" length, 28 spline.

#2 C4OR-7A040 A 1964 and 65 Fairlane, Tiger, Griffith, TVR , 15 1/2" length, 28 spline.
