Kurt, I'm advocating a shorter tailhousing than you are, so why would that place the shifter further back?
Any chance of you (
or anybody else?) measuring the distance from your engine / scattershield interface back to the vertical centreline of the shifter? Gearbox type doesn't matter, I just want to work out the correct shifter location and then source the appropriate Toploader tailhousing. This will probably help prp289 as well
