I wanted to post an update to this thread…
The bad news: The estimate to repair my engine is now up to $7100+ not including sorting out the original problem of faulty linkage/lack of tuning-setup of my Webers. I estimate this to be another $350-400 for parts plus Dyno time.
The good news: Eric at PE has agreed to pay for the parts required to repair the engine and carbs. He and my local engine builder, Craig Blood will work out the details. I want to publicly thank Eric for stepping up and doing the right thing. It says a lot about him and his company.
