Not sure if my tank is an original CR or not.... but anyway it is aluminum with fill pipe on the side of the tank about halfway up. I need to change the fill pipe anyway, so I'm thinking of cutting a section of my trunk out in order to have the fill pipe come in to the tank from the top. Is there some reason CR designed them to come in from the side other than trunk space? I've read a few threads about hard to fill the tank (vent crimped) with the side entrance, but any issues with a top fill? Thanks.
