Here's how the bungee cord plates usually looked when installed originally by SAI, remember that the race Cobras were usually ordered with the body in primer and then painted after any modifications were performed...you should also remember that these were race cars and as such things were done in the simplest most effective way, the plates were simply made from sheet metal with the needed holes then mounted and the car was painted. Each cars modification were done by the mechanics that were assigned to that particular car, that is why there are variances in the number of rivers and the placement of the plates on each car.
