All kinds were used but acorns -- nope.
They did put them in backwards with the bolt end out.
Restored cars seem to have gone this way. That's ok.
The bulk of the 289's were street thus bumpers. Race cars used what was available and easy.
Many 427's also do not represent original status as they were race cars, those with jack pads S/C and comp, and many with bad histories. Thus wrecked and restored x time and time again...... and few in numbers.
That said, ok... The rest of the 427's were street, bumpers...
Your car is awesome, would love to no more about it as it looks great and the white is a fantastic choice. Fell in love with 3028 as it too is white.
