Another day and what doesn't look like much progress. But I guess any progress is good progress.
Welded a nut to the chassis and made an earth lead from the gearbox.
Painted the rear transmission mount.
My fuel pumps are PWM compatible, I will only run them in low speed mode so bridged the negative to the speed control pin with a piece of brass stock that I got from the local hobby shop.
Then enlarged the body hole to fit the shifter, tipped in 4 litres of
oil to the gearbox, RTV'd the shifter in place and made an aluminium trim panel. I sanded the panel and I will paint it, although the more I look at the finish the more I like it!
The shift knob is from speed-dawg. The shift stick came with the shifter when Mike did the gearbox, it's bent to the left for the US market, it will do for now until I make something to replace it.
