FWIW: I've seen an SPF pick up from its roll bar.
Despite not having a drive line in it, I was quite impressed.

Further, I'm willing to bet you'll never roll it & therefore I'll go as far as saying almost any roll bar (other than for a track car) is overkill.


I think you're complicating this far too much.
Both make for awesome Cobras, in my mind it's this simple.

If you want it now! Get an SPF!
If your happy to wait then put the deposit down and join the queue.

These cars are never finished! Even when they're finished you'll be working on them.
So you'll still learn plenty about them that way.
