Hi, haven't been here in a long time.
Car 1508 is a Ford 8.8 and came with 3.73 gears. Easy to change and about $200 labor plus parts.
Newer cars with the Dana, the 44, I believe, have 3.46 gears and are much more difficult to change, more expensive too. Not sure if the change from 3.46 to 3.27s would be worth the trouble.
I have the 8.8 w/ 3.27s and another with the Dana and 3.46s, the differences in rpm/speed isn't that great. Where the differences come in is in the 8.8 I changed to a Torsen T2 and have whatever came from the factory in the Dana. I'd like to change the Dana to a T2 or TrueTrack.
