I've tried to ignore this too - fact is a high percentage of "Cobra" replicas are built with little regard to faithfulness to the originals. Also having a 1966 427 Corvette (many L88 parts in it) I have a hard time getting too excited about the subject. The car is scary powerful and anyone who things a BB Chevy can't put out the power is delusional. I wouldn't stick one in a "Cobra" replica myself, but then I wouldn't put two roll bars on one; or 17 inch wheels; or a 460 engine, or a non-stock dash; or a candy color finish; or etc, etc. But many wouldn't be caught driving one with a rectangular tube chassis, a fiberglass body, or with a 2-bolt main block, or with 1850 Holleys. So, let's all gore each other's goat and get it over with. I suspect Thor maine probably regrets bringing the subject up - hope his sell went well and he is happy to move on to his next project.
