Hi, names dave from poole in dorset england, currently building a dax cobra with a 429 taken from a 1971 T/bird, rolling chassis stage and engine just rebored +30, crank reground, I am just finishing off the heads before the valve seats are recut, and surface ground.I have a question for all you 429/460 followers, the heads are stock 11:1, 75cc, will it run on unleaded or am I going to need new ex seats? people think I'm mad over here due to the price of fuel but as the man said its all about torque!! I am sticking with the c6 as I can't afford a tremec tko, I will probably be using a edelbrock performer cam/intake manifold and a 750/800 cfm carb.It's great to be able to talk to others with a similar setup,looking forward to airing my BBF queries with you.
