The COB/COX leaf spring cars were Cobra's and badged as such on the nose, and with the "AC" badge on the rear. Ned can set us straight though.

The leaf spring COB/COX cars were referred to as "AC 289 Cobra"

Buzz: The 'earlier' leaf spring cars were all 289's. Perhaps you're thinking of the two coil spring cars that were sold without engines. One was exported to the USA and completed as a 427 powered car by Holman and Moody
