I was able to successfully swap my passenger seat over to the driver's side while making some modifications to make it sit lower with a nice posterior tilt. Very happy with how that turned out.
I figured it wouldn't be difficult to simply drop the seat pre-fitted with the sliders onto the passenger side, but despite lots of swearing and maneuvering there is NO WAY I can get the tracks to fit into the pre-drilled holes that once housed the other seat. I wouldn't expect this to be too difficult since you can order and install the sliders after the cars are built. In this case, I don't know what else to do.
I'm trying to avoid drilling out larger holes, but I can't even get the studs to drop into the upper carpeted part all together, let alone fit through the lower aluminum panel holes. Is there something I must be missing here??? Any tricks others know of?
Here's my photo of the successfully installed driver's side. For those that are keeping score, I used M8 - 50 size bolts with a couple fender washers and a nut on the back. The original spacers installed up front. Nice improvement in head room and comfort (don't feel like I'm sitting downhill).
