Bill, that would have been the easiest route to take. However, if I wanted to keep the adjusters I would have had to purchase 2 new spacers (I would have left the passenger side alone). By doing so, I would have lost some leg room as the sliders will no longer go back as far (they will hit the floor or rear bulkhead sooner), and I also would have lost headroom that I achieved from dropping the seats closer to the floor instead of further away. I wanted a slider seat on the passenger side to obtain ability to move seat forward and back in order to store various things behind the seat if need be. I have no need to slide forward on the driver's side as I'm nearly 6'3".
