I have a 351w. I have to get my car emission tested every other year which is always a challenge, so several years ago I thought I would give the E3's a try. I checked the gap and they were close to where I would have set them. The car passed the test that year and it ran good so I was happy. I did notice though that the hot starts had become a little more difficult, but i didn't attribute that to the plugs.

At some point in the next year, I stumbled upon a You Tube video of a distributor test machine where the guy had a bunch of different spark plugs hooked up to it. It was very noticeable to me that the Bosch Platinum + 4 plugs had a larger and more consistent spark than the rest of the plugs he had hooked up.

So for the next emission test I decided to try a set of the Bosch plugs. I immediately noticed that the car idled better and the off idle acceleration had improved. The car passed the test that year and as an added bonus, the hot start issue also disappeared. I am a happy camper. So the bottom line for me is if one is looking for a clean burning spark plug, I would get the Bosch Platinum + 4's over the E3's. Just my experience with my particular engine.
