Yes, by all means. Go down your own path and pursue it to the extreme. Pursuing the Chebby option for power in a car that is supposed to replicate a Shelby Cobra is certainly going down a path but its a path going the wrong direction.

Where does it stop. Might as well use a VW chassis. What about Pontiac power? Chrysler Hemi power? Yeah. That's cool. White walls. Very classy. Digital gauges, bucket seats with head rests. Its all good!

The idea of a "replicar" is to replicate last I checked. Otherwise it's not a replicar is it? Its a ???????? But hey, its your interpretation so it must be beautiful.
