Not exactly scratch built but the plan for the Corvette is to turn it into a road going replica of this car.
The L88 corvette was probably the main competition for the 427 Cobra back in the late 60's
The bodywork on mine is rough and it needs repainting so grafting on the L88 flares is part of the plan along with deleting the troublesome pop-up headlights in favor of the FIA perspex bubble covers.
That's the plan once the Cobra is back on the road.
