Jeez kids get it good these days. Pump-up tyres, roller bearing wheels and a craftsman to make it for 'em.
We used to have to wait for dad to make a trip to the tip and rat wheels and axles off the old prams or strollers. These were the skinny, solid rubber tyred wheels about 6 or 7" round with fixed steel spokes. You hit the jack pot if you scored ones with the oiling hole in the centre hub. You had to
oil them each run to get maximum speed.
