That post is 7 years old but thanks for the response...finally, just kidding with you. Since then I have run my car out of gas and it took 14 gallons to fill. Also I found that a lack of a good ground was preventing my gauge to work properly. Apparently incidental tank to chassis contact causes a gauge to read erratically. A proper ground between the tank and chassis solved that problem.
