Excuse my bluntness, but I think you're nuts selecting the tires for your Cobra on looks and price. The primary criteria SHOULD be performance with these cars.
You quickly dismissed the Avons on price, but they are far and away the best Cobra tires available, bar none.
It's your neck, but I value mine much higher that a set of tires.
