Just a follow-up on a few things:
1. Was told a universal cable would work, so I bought a Lokar cable and realized there would be some modifications needed to make it work.
2. Ordered the cable from Backdraft and awaiting on it to arrive, but was wondering how many others have had throttle/accelerator cable issues? Looks like the design coming from the firewall to the pedal causes the cable to sit at a slight downward angle. If that's the case, it seems that the cable would rub against the metal bracket attached to the firewall and eventually cause the same problem with the cable fraying or breaking completely. Has anyone re-drilled the post on the pedal to make it straight across from the bracket so the cable doesn't rub on the bracket? I see an issue if the post is moved directly inline with the bracket as the pedal will rub on the top side instead of the bottom with the pedal moving back on an arc, but with all the experience on this site, I'm sure someone has found a solution.
Thanks
